Artwork submission guide.

Getting your file right before you upload saves time for everyone. Follow this guide and your artwork will be ready to sell at any size we offer.

File format

We accept JPEG only. TIFF, PNG, WebP, and PSD files are not accepted. If your file is in another format, export it as a JPEG before uploading.

JPEG quality settings

  • Photoshop / Affinity: Quality 100 (maximum)
  • Lightroom: Quality 100 or "Best"
  • GIMP: Quality 100, subsampling 4:4:4

Heavy compression introduces artefacts that are invisible on screen but show at print scale. A typical A3 file saved at maximum quality will be 20–60 MB — this is expected and fine.

Minimum resolution at 300 DPI

These are the minimum pixel dimensions required for a sharp print at each size. Going larger is always better — never go smaller.

Upload at the largest size you want to sell. Smaller print sizes are automatically derived from a larger file. If you upload only to A5 spec, you won't be able to offer A3 or larger later without re-uploading.

Tips by capture method

Scanning flatwork

Scan at 400 DPI minimum — this gives enough headroom for all sizes including A0. Export the scan as a JPEG at maximum quality. Clean the glass before scanning.

Photographing work

Shoot in RAW if your camera supports it, then export to JPEG at maximum quality. Good, even lighting and a straight-on angle make a significant difference to print quality.

Digital artwork

Export at the native canvas resolution. If you're working at 72 DPI on screen, you'll need to create a new canvas at 300 DPI at print size — don't just change the DPI setting, rebuild at the correct pixel dimensions.

Avoid upscaling

Artificially enlarging a low-resolution file doesn't add detail — it just makes the pixels bigger. We check for upscaling during review and it will affect whether your artwork is approved.
